Modern Insight Therapy PLLC is a growing private practice specializing in relationships, intimacy, and sex therapy for adults and couples. We are a pro-BIPOC, LGBTQIA-affirming, and culturally responsive practice that creates space for clients to explore connection, desire, and relational challenges.
Our work centers on helping individuals and couples strengthen intimacy, improve communication, and navigate sexual and relationship concerns, while supporting clients in understanding and coping with their emotions through life transitions. We aim to help clients achieve their highest level of functioning and feel empowered to be the best version of themselves, and we are seeking a clinician aligned with this work.
Job Description
- Provide diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for adults and couples
- Deliver individual and couples therapy with a focus on intimacy, relationship dynamics, and sexual concerns
- Work with clients navigating:
- communication breakdowns
- desire discrepancies
- infidelity and trust repair
- sexual functioning and intimacy challenges
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Adapt treatment approaches based on client progress and clinical presentation
- Coordinate transitions to appropriate levels of care when needed (in-person, phone, or telehealth)
- Maintain a minimum caseload of 20 sessions/week (up to 25 for full-time roles)
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, conflict-resolution, and consultative skills
- Collaborate with team members while maintaining autonomy in clinical work
- Participate in practice growth, feedback, and process improvement initiative
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Who This Role Is (And Isn't For)
- Comfortable discussing sex, intimacy, and complex relationship dynamics
- Interested in working with couples, not just individuals
- Able to manage high-conflict or emotionally intense cases
- Values depth, accountability, and meaningful clinical work
- This role is not ideal for clinicians seeking:
- low-acuity, individual-only caseloads
- minimal client interaction or low session volume
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Active Illinois license (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW)
- Experience or strong clinical interest in:
- sex therapy, Interest in AASECT certification
- couples/relationship work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, self-directed, and able to manage time effectively
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (2 evenings/week, 2 Saturdays/month)
- Must have a private, secure space and reliable internet for telehealth
Compensation & Growth
- $40–$60 per clinical hour
- Estimated full-time earnings: $60K–$80K+
