About Me

One significant insight I have gained from my experience in practice and as a human being is that we are all looking to be heard with validation, which is why talk therapy can be empowering. With many years of experience, I have found it essential to stay flexible and open to the diverse experiences that clients have. I enjoy working with a diverse range of groups, including young people, individuals navigating pivotal moments in their lives, people from immigrant backgrounds, and those who are a part of intentionally marginalized groups. I enjoy talking through beliefs and behaviors, especially as they relate to culture, background, and the social landscape.
I stay committed to the tasks and goals we have set out to achieve, so you can feel accomplished while remaining flexible in case your goals change. And in between all the hard work, I find it essential to laugh and pat ourselves on the back, thanking ourselves for showing up.

My Approach

I am committed to approaching my work with clients through an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens, and making efforts to understand how society contributes to our experiences. I am curious and love to laugh, and I bring these aspects of my personality into the therapeutic setting, asking you to bring your whole, authentic selves during our time together. I find it essential to remain curious about you and your experiences, as it helps you feel seen and heard, while also enabling me to gain a deeper understanding of who you are and how to work effectively with you.
